Logging happens when memory is worst
Pain is exactly when reconstructing the workday feels hardest.
Log pain by voice or with a tap, check your desk posture with your iPhone camera or AirPods, and let the Mac companion count your unbroken work sessions. Achetrace lines it up so you can see what tends to come before the pain, and bring a clear summary to your next appointment.

Timeline context is designed to cite the logs behind each pattern.
Who it is for
Why diaries miss it
You already know the drill: the ache shows up, someone asks what changed, and the honest answer is "I don't remember."
Pain is exactly when reconstructing the workday feels hardest.
Long sessions, skipped breaks, and late-night computer time are easy to forget.
A raw diary is hard to scan in a 15-minute visit; patterns get lost in the retelling.
What's in the beta
Four ways to record your workday as it happens. Every one is optional, and each shows what it keeps.
No keystrokes, screenshots, URLs, window titles, clipboard, or screen content.
Say what happened (“neck pain since lunch, about a 6, took a painkiller”) and review each item before it's saved. Or tap where it hurts on the body map.
Audio is never uploaded to Achetrace. You see the transcript first, and nothing saves until you accept it.
Prop your iPhone at your desk and start a short guided check. It estimates head and shoulder position against your own baseline, and you save or discard the result.
Frames are processed on your phone. No photo is saved, synced, or uploaded. It's an estimate, not medical-grade.
Start a session and supported AirPods estimate how far, and for how long, your head tilts forward.
Head tilt, not a neck measurement. Shown on its own, never blended into a single posture score. Off until you turn it on.
A menu-bar companion counts active computer time, your longest unbroken session, breaks, and late-night use. Pair it or remove it from your phone.
Never captures keystrokes, screenshots, URLs, window titles, clipboard, or screen content.
Optional: bring in steps, sleep, and workouts from Apple Health.
Privacy as a feature
Every source is optional, nothing watches your screen, and you can delete your account and its data from inside the app.
Honest insights
Each insight shows its time window, how much data it rests on, and how strong it is, from a hunch to a consistent pattern. It never turns a correlation into a cause.
In the last 45 days, headache logs tended to be lower after yoga or mobility sessions. This is based on 6 sessions, so read it as a pattern to test, not proof of cause.
This sounds causal, ignores sample size, and drifts into medical-claim territory.
May 1 - June 14
Neck, right shoulder, tension-type head pain.
What should I ask about my afternoon headaches?
Built for the appointment
A summary your clinician can scan quickly: your pain trends, where it hurts, what you tried and how it went, your work and posture context, and the questions you want to ask. You preview all of it before you share a PDF.
Request clinician previewHow it works
Speak or tap: where it hurts, how much, when it started, and what you tried.
Posture checks, AirPods sessions, the Mac companion, and Apple Health are each optional, and each can be turned off.
Each insight shows its window, its sample size, and how strong it is.
Preview it, then share a PDF with your clinician or PT.

No. The companion never captures keystrokes, screenshots, screen recordings, URLs, clipboard contents, document names, window titles, or message content.
No. A posture check runs only when you start it, for 5 to 15 seconds. Frames are processed on your iPhone, and no photo is saved or uploaded.
Speech recognition turns what you say into text, Achetrace shows you the text, and the app discards the audio. Recordings are never uploaded to Achetrace, and nothing is saved until you review it.
No. They estimate head tilt, not neck angle. Achetrace shows it on its own and never combines it with camera checks into a single score.
The beta is free. At launch, logging, voice, posture checks, and insights stay free, and the appointment-summary export becomes part of one paid plan on iPhone. Pricing isn't set yet.
Yes. Delete your account in the app, and its data is removed from our servers and from the app.
Not at launch. Clinicians and PTs can request a preview of the sample summary. The first priority is a summary you control and share.
